Using English to Compare The Elements

COMPERE AND CONTRAST

I.             Compere
Compare is to determine two or more things in the same case. In chemistry it is usually compared to the alkaline group equations with alkaline earths. Example of Lithium and Magnesium equations.

II.          Contrast
Contrast  is also a comparison between two or more cases based on the difference. For example, the difference between the alkaline group and the halogen group namely Sodium and Chlorine.

III.       Double Bubble Map
Double Bubble Map is a way of enriching a person's ability to identify or demonstrate quality. It usually uses descriptive words or descriptions and is used to compare things.

Sodium (Na) vs. Chlorine (Cl)
No
Compare between sodium and chlorine
The difference between Sodium and Chlorine
1.
Sodium and chlorine are elements
Differences of silver white color with Yellow green color
2.
They are in period 3
Phase differences between solid and gas
3.
They have the same oxidation
 number 1
The difference lies between block s with block p
4.

Class distinction is the alkali group with halogen group
5.

Sodium is a reductant whereas chlorine is an oxidizing agent

    1. Hi Fikra, thanks for the questions. This is a compare and contrast between the gold and silver:
The compare between gold and silver is:
      a. Just as both gold Silver Metal
      b. We know they are a group of Tránsito
      c. they shine
      d. Silver and gold are the same as they were diamonds
      e. Gold equally crowded with Silver
The contrast between the gold and silver are:
      1. Contrast color The color of gold with silver. Because gold and silver argentum aurum
      2. The silver is not limited as aurum
      3. aurum heavier than silver
      4. The number of atoms of silver higher aurum
      5. aurum more expensive than silver

    1. Hi rahmi, thanks for the question. This is the chemical nature of chlorine and sodium
      1. Chemical properties of Chlorine
Discovered in 1774 by Carl Wilhelm Scheele, he mistakenly thinks chlorine contains oxygen. This element gets its current name in 1810 by Humphry Davy. Pure chlorine chemical element is a green diatomic gas. The name of chlorine comes from the Latin word chloros, which means green, refers to the color of this gas. Chlorine gas weighs 2.5 times the air, has a stifling odor, and is highly toxic. In liquid and solid form, chlorine is a powerful oxidizing agent, bleach, and strong disinfectant agent. This element is part of a series of salt-forming halogens that can be extracted from chlorides through oxidation and electrolysis.
      2. Nature of Sodium Chemistry
Sodium reacts quickly with water, snow, and ice to produce sodium hydroxide and hydrogen. When exposed to air, the sodium metal loses its silvery color and turns to gray opaque due to the formation of the sodium oxide layer. Sodium does not react with nitrogen, even at very high temperatures, but can react with ammonia to form sodium amide. Sodium and hydrogen react at temperatures above 200ºC to form sodium hydride. Sodium barely reacts with carbon and does not react with halogens. It also reacts with various metal halides to form metals and sodium chloride.
